My name is Chris Mercer. The only person who ever called me Christopher was my dad when he was angry with me: so you can call me Chris.
I am writer of fiction and I’m hoping to write all sorts of other stuff too. This blog will promote my work but it also will be a good place for me to write about my life and experience with mental health issues, my religious views, my hobbies such as music and my knowledge of photography (as I was a photographer in a former life). All these things may or may not be of interest to you but please feel free to leave a comment and remember to be constructive – this blog is not intended to host confrontation. Peace!
I was born in Norfolk, England, in the long hot summer of 1975. That may well have been the last long, hot, summer in Britain but perhaps my memory is selective! I now live in Devon with my wonderful wife and two children. Having a two-year-old and an eight-year-old is quite an experience!
In terms of literature that I will be blogging about I read books relating to my faith; biographies and autobiographies, particularly of musicians and sportsmen; and classic literature. I will be blogging about authors and genres that I enjoy.
That’s about all you need to know about me for now.
